Hajj accommodation is split across several locations, and understanding them helps you choose the right tier. In Makkah, most pilgrims stay in Aziziah — a district of serviced apartments a short transport ride from the Haram. Premium tiers can place you in a hotel much closer to the Haram instead.
During the five days of Hajj you move into the camps: the vast Mina tent city, then the plain of Arafat for the day of standing (Wuquf), and an overnight in the open at Muzdalifah. Your Mina tent is assigned by your Maktab, and its category — its size, cooling, location and services — is the single biggest driver of comfort and price.
You will also hear the terms shifting and non-shifting. Non-shifting (Aziz / non-muzdalifah-shifting) packages keep you in your Mina tent throughout the Mina days, which is more comfortable. Shifting packages may require you to vacate and relocate around the busiest hours, which lowers the cost. Our Standard and Premium tiers favour non-shifting, while Economy is often shifting.
